May 13, 2017 - New SLIC Bursaries Awarded

As part of a continuing effort to provide direct support to its members, the SLIC membership approved funds for language bursaries for SLIC members at the 2016 Annual General Meeting. SLIC awarded two bursaries, of $500.00 each, to members pursuing post-secondary coursework related to the instruction or delivery of second language curriculum in Alberta.

The successful recipients of the new SLIC bursaries were randomly drawn from the applications submitted to SLIC. The SLIC Executive thanks all members who applied for a SLIC bursary.

Congratulations to:

#1 Stephanie MacKay (Grande Prairie and District Catholic Teachers Local No 42)

#2 Belal Sweileh (Edmonton Public Teachers Local 37)
